Registration of the foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
1) The foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan are obliged to have the passports registered in the order, established by the present Rules, and to show them on the requirement of the authorized state bodies. About losing the passport the foreign citizen should immediately inform the law-enforcement body (Ministry for Internal Affairs), which on the request of the citizen gives out the inquiry to him.
2) The foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan are obliged to register within five calendar days from the date of the crossing the borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a place of the constant or temporary residing. Registration of foreign citizens is carried out under the documents of certifying the personality of a person.
3) The order of the passport registration of foreign citizens in Republic of Kazakhstan is defined by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry for Internal Affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan with the agreement of Committee of the National Safety of Republic of Kazakhstan.
4) Registration is made out for the period which doesn’t exceed the validity of the national passport of the foreign citizen and the visa. Registration of the citizens who have arrived to the Republic of Kazakhstan from the countries with which the Republic of Kazakhstan has the international contracts about visa-free order of entrance and stay, is made for the term not exceeding ninety days period, and further can be prolonged for the same term. Registration of the foreign citizens concerning which there is a sanction in the established law order to attraction of a foreign labour, is made out for the term of action of the given sanction. Registration of the foreign citizens training in educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan is made out for the one academic year. Foreign citizens can be exempted from registration of passports according to law acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the international contracts ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
