Ungurtas - center of the Earth Ungurtas is perhaps Kazakhstan's most mysterious spot. A unique and powerful "center of force", people come here from all over the world to receive a special charge of Space and Earth in this central point of the Eurasain continent! The small neighboring village, Ungurtas, is 80 kms from Almaty.

Shymbulak The Shymbulak ski resort is situated in an attractive gorge of the Zaili Alatau at a height of 2,200 metres above sea level (25 km outside the city).

Almaty – The City of Apples Almaty may have lost its status as capital of Kazakhstan, but it remains the country's foremost city, cultural and business capital and main transport hub.

Medeu Medeu is the largest high-altitude winter sports complex in the world. Its ice rink is 1700 metres above sea level. Medeu is situated in the valley of the Malaya Almatinka river, 1520-1750 metres above sea level, and surrounded by awesome mountains on all sides.

Turgen Gorge The Turgen Gorge in the Ile-Alatau National park (90 km from Almaty) is an ideal place to enjoy the beauty of nature. The gorge boasts hot springs, a trout farm, waterfalls and vast plains of wooded areas. Rich in coniferous and mixed forests, alpine and sub-alpine meadows, lakes and springs, medicinal herbs and berries, the gorge plunges 44 km toward the vast Assy plateau (2560 m).

Altyn Emel Nature-lovers will find an unexpected paradise in the Altyn-Emel National Park. The park covers 90 sq. kilometers between the Ili river and the Ak-tau mountain range. It is mysterious, beautiful countryside with a long history and a unique natural environment.

The Singing Sands One of the unique wonder of nature is the Singing Sands, 182 km north-east of Almaty, on the right bank of the Ili river. In dry weather this sand-dune emits a sound like an organ playing.

Charyn The Charyn Canyon is one of the most exotic places you can visit in Central Asia. Its strange geological forms left by erosion and weathering create an unreal fairyland of weird sandstone sculptures – the Valley of Castles, the Witches' Gorge, and so on. It is sometimes said that the Charyn Canyon is a smaller version of the famous Grand Canyon in Colorado, USA, but in fact it has a charm entirely of its own.

The Kolsai Lakes The Kolsai lakes are one of the treasures of the Northern Tien-Shan. These three mountain lakes, set among steep pine-clad slopes, nestle in a spur of the Kungei Alatau.

Nursery of hunting birds In the Silt – Alatau territory of national park, this nursery of endangered predatory birds is unique in Central Asia. Here one can an institution devoted to the breeding and training falcons, berkut, and eagles.
